Creating An Effective Online Reputation

Managing your online reputation is increasingly complex in today's digital world. It's no longer enough to control your image in traditional online advertising. A slip-up on Twitter or a faux pas on Facebook could cost you customers or bruise your business's reputation for good. According to research compiled by Boca Raton, Fla.-based advertising agency MDG, 92 percent of consumers trust opinions posted online by other consumers, yet less than half of corporate communications professionals feel prepared to handle an online marketing crisis, (excerpt from http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/226784).  Now I am going to teach you how to deal with an online crisis and how to create a good online reputation!

Part 1- Dealing with an online marketing crisis:

The best way to deal with an online crisis is as in all sales jobs, make the customer happy!  If someone is unsatisfied with a sale, product, or wants better service; find a way to provide that for them.  It sounds too simple to be true, but it works offline and online consistently.  You should try it and watch as your customers return over and over.

Part 2- Creating a good online reputation:

How to build up a good reputation all starts with promoting a GREAT product.  Something that works just as advertised and will have your customers begging for more products just like it.  After finding a great product now you need to supply them with excellent customer service.  I suggest replying personally to all emails that customers send back to you, so that it is more personal.  Or if you are making tons of money from sales hire someone else to do this job for you.  Also take calls if you have a separate line you would be capable of taking customer's calls from without bothering you. Even if a customer is angry try your best to make them happy and satisfy them.  Nothing works better at promoting your business than word of mouth!!!

Now you have a good idea of how to make a GOOD online reputation.  Go out and do it!
